Brother Jack Evanik was honored by the Boy Scouts of America and the AFL-CIO with the George Meany Award. The George Meany Award is the highest award bestowed to a union member involved with the Boy Scouts of America.

Local 645 members volunteered their time and talent to build an access ramp for Joe and Marlene Kulesa. Joe is in a wheel chair due to Kidney Dialysis and could not live at home. State Senator Robert Mellow asked the Local to get involved and the project was completed in a day and a half.

Members of Local Union 645 march with our Banner and a pick-up truck in the Scranton St. Patrick’s Day Parade. This was our first year participating in the parade and hope for more participation next year.
